Holly skates to success

Congratulations to Holly in Year 4 who has achieved success out of school in a sport that usually ends up with me sitting on the floor! It shows what great determination and plenty of practice can bring.
If you believe, and you want it enough, you can achieve!

Holly's 3rd place in the Spin, Spiral and Jump competition was an excellent achievement as it was her very first competition; the competition was high and she was one of the youngest skaters there.
Holly said she "wanted to compete as she wanted to see what it felt like!"
She is now wanting to enter more competitions and is perfecting a ice dance routine for the Guildford Open competition next year and the Lee Valley Open.

Holly auditioned for the ice Panto back in June and after two auditions and a two week wait, she got the news she was hoping for! (She successfully got through last year and really enjoyed the experience).
This year she is a rag doll and a fairy and has been at rehearsals every day in the half term, sometimes twice daily. They now continue with gusto until the show days!
