End of term arrangements

Fantastic Friday: If you weren’t already aware, this is tomorrow and is a non-uniform day. Children should wear something suitable for the activities that they have chosen. Thankyou to the staff for providing such an exciting range of options!
We are suggesting that children might want to bring spare pocket money (following ‘Presents for Parents’) or a parent donation to help support the Save the Children day which is also tomorrow: http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/

End of term: A reminder that school will finish at 1.45pm on 19th December

Clubs: Clubs will finish for the term on Friday 12th December. There will be no clubs in the week of 15th December.

Christmas service arrangements:
On Tuesday 16th December, Year 3 and 4 pupils will be performing a traditional Nativity play

On Thursday 18th December, Year 5 and 6 pupils will be performing the Christmas play ‘Children of the World’.

·        There will be a torch-lit procession from the School to the Church on both evenings. All pupils are invited to dress up (please see the previous Parent Mail for details). We ask that pupils meet in the assembly hall at 6pm in costume for a procession to the church with their classes. Please send torches into school for this. Parents are invited to walk with us. If you are able to volunteer to walk with your child’s class, please notify your child’s class teacher in advance.
·        Parents are advised that parking is strongly discouraged at the church hall due to limited parking spaces and people attending clubs there.
·        No crèche facility at school this year.
·        We ask that you would return your consent form by Monday 15th so that registers for the evening performance can be compiled.
·        Pupils will have the opportunity to watch each other’s performances in school so please refrain from bringing siblings to the Church, as spaces are limited.
·        Pick up arrangements: Children will be accompanied back to the school after the service where refreshments will be served (see below). Teachers will release children at the church to parents who have indicated in advance that they need to collect their child at that point.
·        PTA refreshments will be served in the assembly hall on both evenings. Hamper raffle draw on the Thursday.

Dress rehearsals:
·        Years 3 and 4 will need their costumes for a dress rehearsal in school on Monday 15th December.
·        Years 5 and 6 will need their costumes for a dress rehearsal at the church on Wednesday 17th December

Parent helpers, please notify class teachers if you can help us walk to the Church from 9.15am.

Monday 15th January: Topic books sent home for review by parents.

Christmas lunch: Wednesday 17th December
Bring a party hat and/or a decoration for the school hall.
