Football!!

Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 football teams who participated in a district tournament last Friday.

Both teams got through to the semi finals, where they weer unfortunately beaten.

However, both teams played very well and showed great team spirit.

In fact, the Year 6 team were awarded the Respect Award - a fantastic achievement.

Thank you to Miss Smith for organising the event, to Miss Furze and all the parents who supported the teams.

Feeling hot, hot, hot!!!!

The heatwave is on its way. Please ensure your child has sun cream applied before school, brings a sun hat and plenty of water to drink.  Rest assured, your child's safety is our number one priority and we will keep them safe in the heat/sun.

Today's French Fun!

Pointe de hoc was amazing. Beautiful view. The children met so many current serving American officers, who gave the school and children gifts from their regiments.

We then visited the cathedral of bayeux, where children paid their respects. Followed by a shopping trip- lots of ice creams in the sun!

The last part of the day was the commonwealth cemetery. Very moving- children were exceptionally respectful, and moved.

We're on our way back to the beach.

Thursday in France

They have woken to beautiful weather and have ensured they are covered in suncream before their visits today.

When speaking to Miss Furze, the children were exploring Pointe du Hoc.

They will be visiting the cathedral this afternoon before a trip to the Hypermarket later.

Another good night's sleep - all the fresh sea air and walking has tired them out!

A couple of pics from yesterday ....

Good evening from France!

Beautiful weather today!

The 360 cinema was brilliant today and the children were really moved by the footage (put events into context for them).

Arramanche was beautiful, children had an opportunity to shop. They stopped and spoke to lots of people who visit he celebrations every year.

Maisie Batterie was amazing- the owner's son Dan took us for 3 hour tour. Amazing experience. All the children got involved.

The beach play was brilliant- all children so happy to be here.

After dinner we went for a walk around grand-camp Maisey. With a beautiful sunset.

More photos in the morning.

Exciting times!

The morning phonecall from France has just been taken!

The children were all in bed by 10pm and then had to be woken again at 7.30am!

They are on the road to Arramanches and have the Maisie Batterie visit this afternoon.

This afternoon/evening they are hoping to get onto the beach for the first time.

Au revoir for now!

Bonjour!

USome photos from yesterday.

Unfortunately the phone/wifi signal in France is poor/sporadic but I will pop anything onto the blog as I get it.

Birthday girl!!! I don't think she ate it all herself!
