Singing Star!

Congratulations to Aneira, who won the annual singing prize for 8-12 year olds at Guildford Theatre School last weekend. The prize is awarded to the child who epitomise the GTS goals of pursuing excellence and achieving extraordinary things.

This is a very special award and we are very proud of her achievement.

Bushy Hill Shopping Centre!

We have a fantastic turn out this week for the 'Presents for Parents' event.  So many of the children got their shopping done, with some great bargains too!

A huge thank you to Mrs Ottey and her team for making this possible - it is an enormous job and we very much appreciate all the time and effort that went into it.

Christmas Craft

We welcomed Year 2s from Merrow to work with our Year 3s to make some lovely Christmas cards.  They had great fun and the children loved chatting to each other and seeing their old teachers.

Christmas at the Lunch Club

Our choir visited the lunch club at the Methodist Church yesterday lunchtime and filled the hall with their lovely singing.  The ladies and gentlemen thoroughly enjoyed the carols and joined in with us too!  A lovely way to start the Christmas season!

Young volunteers!

Well done to Bushy friends Imogen, Gemma, Sophie and Maisy for stepping in at the last minute as volunteers to run the lucky dip stall at Merrow's Christmas Fair!

They did a great job applying their maths, as well as being great role models to the younger children.

You can never be too young to start volunteering!!

Congratulations to you all!

Many congratulations to Andrew in Year 6 who was part of the Guildford City Swimming Club's defence of their National Junior Arena league final in Corby last week. They won having competed against other clubs from Leeds, Plymouth, Stockport, Derby, Northampton, Norwich and Gateshead. Andrew swam 2 relays (which they won) and an individual 50m butterfly which he also won with a personal best time.

Incredible achievement - Olympic hero of the future?!
