Cricket at Cranmore!

We enjoyed a glorious afternoon at Cranmore School where our Year 6 team participated gallantly in the Geoff Richards Hard ball Cricket Cup against Haslemere and Cranmore schools.

Running star!

Last weekend in an athletics meeting in Woking, Cariad in Year 6 ran the 600m in a time that ranks her as the 8th fastest U13 Girl in South East England, 20th in England and 24th in the UK in this event.

Being only 11, this makes her one of the youngest competitors in this age group, the majority of which are Year 7s. This also means she will have another year in this age category.

A phenomenal achievement, we are all very proud of her and know she will continue to excel in this sport - we look forward to hearing more success in the future.

Well done to this week's Stars!!

Also to Josh in Year 6 and Emily in Year 4.

Fun in the sun!

Another fantastic day! The children got very muddy and wet this morning on the challenge course which they loved! Some more conquering of heights with abseiling and on the trapeze!
The children are so starting to pack before going to play capture the flag this evening - this should ensure some very tired children!  :)

Maths Challenge!

I took four budding Year 4 mathematicians to Halstead Preparatory School yesterday to participate in a Maths Challenge - here they are at work!!

Morning from PGL

The children all enjoyed singing songs by the campfire and were so tired it didn't take long at all for them all to drop off to sleep..
The weather looks to be a bit better today for challenge courses and abseiling. :)

Day 2

Another fantastic day. Lots of people getting very wet in the rafting this morning and with only one raft falling apart!
Very proud of the children as a lot of them overcame their fears by climbing a very high pole and jumping off the top!
The children are currently collecting firewood for our campfire this evening. :)

News from a soggy PGL!

Loving the English weather! We enjoyed the rain on the cabins last night and this morning we're happily having a go on the big swing! Good job we're rafting this afternoon as we're already very wet!!!

PGL progress report!

We arrived ok. The children have settled into there rooms and were very competitive for the start of the tidy room competition! They have all had their fill of delicious food that they all enjoyed, and are currently playing robot wars!

Hoping for a peaceful night...

And they're off!!

PGL - raring to go!!

All suitcases are packed (some larger than the children themselves!) and high excitement reigns in the Year 5 classrooms!

Cricket season has begun!

Congratulations to our Year 5/6 cricket team who played Park Mead yesterday in our first ever hard ball cricket match.

Although we came second (!), the children played really well with some excellent play in the field.

A lovely afternoon in the sun, we look forward to our upcoming matches.
