Many congratulations to Andrew in Year 6 who was part of the Guildford City Swimming Club's defence of their National Junior Arena league final in Corby last week. They won having competed against other clubs from Leeds, Plymouth, Stockport, Derby, Northampton, Norwich and Gateshead. Andrew swam 2 relays (which they won) and an individual 50m butterfly which he also won with a personal best time.

Speedy!!

Congratulations to Jack in Year 5 for his most recent achievements in racing.  At the weekend was racing at Buckmore Park in Kent and was the youngest in the field!

He did an amazing job.  He qualified in Pole Position and finished in an amazing 7th place overall.
Despite competing with boys much older, he has shown a mature attitude, self confidence and strong and responsible ethic of training hard.

Well done Jack, you should be so proud of your achievements!

Last week's Stars

Keep up the good work!

Fun Run November 2016!

A very chilly, but fun run last Friday - the children had a fantastic time!  Every child participated whether running or walking and should be proud of their achievement.  We hope to repeat these in the future as we continue to ensure the children know that fitness has a positive impact on emotional and mental well-being.

Thank you to Miss Furze for organising.

Poppies

Thank you to everyone who purchased one of our very special ceramic poppies, which were made by our pupils.  Thanks to their efforts, £91 was raised for the British Legion.

Huge thanks to Mrs Andrews for co-ordinating.

Cricketing success!

Huge congratulations to Daisy in year 6 who has been selected to train and play with Surrey County Cricket.  We are so proud of you Daisy and look forward to hearing of your successes.

Bulbs for Polio

On Wednesday we welcomed Mr Danson into school, who worked with a number of children in each class to prepare and plant bulbs in association with the Rotary Club.  Its aim is to eradicate Polio in the last two countries that still have sufferers.

We look forward to seeing them bloom!

Year 3 trip

The year 3s had a fantastic visit to Guildford yesterday, where they heard about the History and Geography of the town.

Their excellent behaviour was commented on by others and the teachers were very complimentary about how well the children listened and helped one another.

Well done Year 3, we look forward to hearing all about your trip!
