PTA minutes

Many thanks to all who attended on Monday, particularly to Fiona Millard who chaired the meeting (and wrote these excellent minutes!) and to the volunteers who put themselves forward to fill the main roles and coordinate our initial Autumn events.

I hope that the committee and coordinators will have your full support this year, including help and attendance at events.

Please help us to be environmentally friendly - and make some money at the same time - by recycling your printer ink cartridges. You should receive the collection bags by the end of the week.

Thankyou for helping us to raise £72.50 last term.

PTA Meeting Agenda - Monday 22nd September 7pm

1.       Apologies / Welcome
2.       Confirmation of minutes of last meeting
3.       Accounts
4.       Positions vacant – Chair, Deputy Chair, Treasurer, Year 3 Reps
5.       Ongoing class reps & positions
6.       Review of summer fair
7.       Future support & events
8.       AOB

We had an extremely full calendar of PTA events last year, enjoyed by many children and parents.  However with our co-chairs and treasurer stepping down, we are currently without a PTA committee for 2014/2015.  Without a full committee we won’t be able to put on the events again this year.  It would be a real shame to miss out on the fun of discos, quiz night, ice cream days etc. and to stop generating vital funds for the school.

Please consider taking on a committee role (see attached descriptions).  Our existing class reps have all kindly offered to continue this year, and I’m confident that all the regular event helpers will continue to do so.  But we really need to find new chair people and treasurer, and ideally others to take on running some events to share the workload.   We can also reduce the workload by running fewer PTA events.  It would be far better to have a few of the favourite events, rather than missing out on all of them.
